The Timax Group of Companies has a long history of arranging pick-up and delivery of all of your shipments, large or small, local or worldwide, through a large network of independent operators, each geared to its own specialty.
The independent operators associated with Timax are committed to comply with the pick up and delivery policies established by Timax, especially those policies concerning delivery times.
Timax and its associated independent operators can not guarantee delivery times due to potential circumstances beyond their control, such as inclement weather, traffic accidents or congestion and other similar adverse conditions. Timax sameday messenger delivery times may also experience delays due to end of month or seasonal volume.
Timax and its associated independent operators do not accept responsibility for any damages, including consequential damages, due to or arising out of late delivery of your shipment.
Subject to applicable legislation, Timax and its associated independent operators to do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to your shipment regardless of cause, unless Timax was put on notice of the value of the shipment prior to accepting your instructions.
Timax Group of companies and its associated independent operators pride themselves on providing high quality service and meeting its stated service commitments.
Timax will not bill deliveries to companies that do not previously have an account set up with Timax.
Timax reserves the right to open and inspect any suspect shipment given to it for delivery, but will not do so unless necessary.
Timax reserves the right to correct the weight or piece count of all deliveries. The corrected weight or piece charge will be billed to the customer.
Timax reserves the right to refuse any package that is inappropriate to transport, or that is improperly packaged or labeled.
Next day delivery does not include a Saturday, Sunday or holiday. Saturday deliveries are available upon request. Emergency service is available for Timax sameday messenger deliveries any day, including holidays.
A signature as proof of delivery will be obtained by Timax, unless otherwise requested by the customer that no signature is required.
When a customer requests delivery to be made to a certain floor or suite number of a building to which no access to that area is permitted, the delivery will be left in receiving, security or the courier drop-off area. Timax cannot be responsible for the delivery time to the designated floor or suite number when such a situation occurs.
After hours deliveries: For deliveries between the hours of 6 pm and 6:30 am Monday to Friday, and all day Saturday and Sunday the rate charged will be double the regular direct rate, excluding van charges and weight/piece charges
For out-of-town after hours calls, the rate will be one & a half the regular direct out-of-town rate
Waiting/Unloading Time: For Sameday messenger shipments there will be no charge for the first 10 minutes of waiting/unloading. Waiting time over 10 minutes will be charged at $35.00/hour (pro-rated).
Weight Charges: Weight charges are specific to your quotation.
Piece Charges: Piece charges are specific to your quotation.
Insurance Charges: Insurance available at a rate of $3.00 per $100 of value (first $100 free). Insurance is not automatically given, and must be requested at time of order. A declared value must be given, both on the waybill and when the order is submitted.
Remote points: On overnight shipments, remote points may be subject to a beyond charge and may require an extra day to deliver.
Bulky Shipments: Bulky overnight shipments may be subject to a cube factor of 10 lbs (ground) per cubic foot or 15 lbs (Air) per cubic foot.
Dangerous Goods: Dangerous good shipments (ground only) are subject to a $25.00 surcharge to all locations. Some restrictions may apply.
Fuel Surcharge: All shipments may be subject to a fuel surcharge (call for amount).
Aviation Insurance Surcharge: An aviation insurance surcharge will apply. (Call for details).
GST: GST will be charged at the current rate on all shipments.
METHOD OF PAYMENT: Timax does not accept personal cheques. Company cheques are accepted as well as visa or mastercard.
